The Center offers leadership and serves as a resource for financial education with goals of increasing financial literacy, minimizing financial instability for the benefit of society, and training the next generation of financial industry leaders. Our mission is to provide financial education for individuals across all socioeconomic backgrounds to: Empower individuals at all stages of life to make smart financial decisions.Provide opportunities for students, the public and financial services professionals to enhance their financial knowledge.Connect the business community with the next generation of financial industry leaders for professional networking and mentorship opportunities. Under direction of the Academic Director and consistent with the long-range goals and objectives of The Paul Merage School of Business, the position is responsible for the development and growth of a comprehensive Center for Investment and Wealth Management including stewardship of board members and assisting in the cultivation of new members and gifts. The Program is self-supporting through an advisory board of community members (both personal and corporate), generation of fee-based corporate programs, degree, and development programs for all four MBA programs and campus-wide undergraduate initiatives. The Associate Director has full responsibility for program administration and program management within UCI policy guidelines. The Director serves as key spokesperson and primary liaison between senior-level educators and administrators, faculty, corporate executives, alumni, and students to facilitate collaboration in developing, managing, and expanding CIWM programs. This position involves the planning and implementation of the overall operations and evaluation of the activities that support the Center's mission, goals, and partnership objectives. Compensation Range: Annually: $69,900.00 - $106,400.00 Department Website: https://merage.uci.edu/ciwm Required: Minimum two years' experience, in non-profit area preferred.Bachelor's Degree.Thorough knowledge of administrative, budgetary, human resources and financial principles and practices. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups to achieve results. Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal and external peers and managers. Excellent strategic planning, human resources, and managerial skills. Demonstrated experience in innovative problem solving. Ability to research, analyze and implement solutions to unanticipated problems and situations. Familiarity with MBA programs and their content. Preferred: Advanced degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training preferred.Academic background and experience in selected area of research preferred. Solid fundraising experience. Ability to identify and implement IT tools. Written and conversational mastery of the Spanish language. Special Conditions Required: Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends, as programs require. Occasional travel required. Final candidate subject to background check.
