Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Provides administration for all post-award activities for the department in support of an assigned portfolio of grants and contracts within assigned unit(s). Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures. Coordinates and performs all required transactions. Builds and maintains partnering relationships with internal stakeholders and other operational departments.

1. Manages budget, reporting and compliance through the lifecycle of the grant or contract
2. Advises on applicable policies and procedures for grant related travel, human resources, procurement and compliance
3. Process all procurement, reimbursement and hiring requests
4. Ensures adherence to quality standards and all policies and award regulations
5. Serves as primary intermediary with all pertinent faculty, staff and campus entities
6. Advise on allowable expenditures per award terms and conditions
7. Monitors rate of expenditures
8. Provides timely budget reports
9. Interacts regularly with and provides high quality customer service to faculty members conducting sponsored research

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in business or related field

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certified Research Administrator (CRA)

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in higher education

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of federal grant proposal and award policies and regulations

  • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)

  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
