Technical Assistant -Airframe & Powerplant (PT)
Salary: $16.00

You will be critical to the College mission and the student experience.Responsibilities Include:
- Assists all teaching staff and Adjuncts with required lab projects.
- Helps/supervises students with performing lab exercises as assigned
- Performs all regular housekeeping duties in the ATC.
- Maintain ATC training equipment in working order as needed.
- Insures all safety items in hangar are in working order.
- Assists director and college with program marketing/ recruiting efforts.
- Answers incoming phone calls and direct to appropriate staff member or take messages.
- Is able to explain the A&P certificate program and answer general aviation maintenance questions for inquiring callers.
- Accurately maintains required student academic files to meet FAA regulations as needed.
- Assists with parts and supplies inventory monitoring.
- Performs other duties as needed per the Director or Faculty needs.
- Participates in scheduled meetings as necessary.
Qualifications:
- FAA Mechanic A&P certificate required.
- Minimum of two years aircraft maintenance experience or one year experience and be a graduate of the MVCC A&P Certificate program.
- Must be able to obtain Airport Security Badge.
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Be able to climb ladders and stairs to gain access to program aircraft interiors, engines, and equipment bays.
- Requires occasional lifting of more than 40lbs.
- Requires walking to and from aircraft parked on airport ramp area in all weather conditions.
