Description:The Department of Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Lecturer for the 2021/2022 academic year, with a target start date of August 16, 2021. 6 courses/year (3/semester). Anticipated courses include multiple sections of Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL 101) and both introductory and advanced courses in ancient philosophy (PHIL 203 and PHIL 410). Required: Ph.D. in Philosophy or related discipline prior to start date and evidence of teaching experience. Experience with large lectures and/or with advanced courses in the specified areas strongly preferred. AOS: Ancient Philosophy.
