Essential Job Duties: The Global Training Initiative (GTI) in the Office of Global Engagement at NC State University is accepting applications for the position of temporary, EFL Instructors. 16-18 week online course for secondary and post-secondary teachers in Colombia that focuses on beginning to mid-level EFL, vocabulary and pronunciation, technical/trades vocabulary, sentence patterning and simple dialogs.Is Time Limited:

TBD. We anticipate online classes will take place several days and times throughout the week. Class hours may be during the weekdays with possible evenings or weekend schedule. Can expect to teach minimum of 6 hrs each week ( possibility of more hours ifOther Work/Responsibilities:
Instructors will provide online instruction several times each week using Moodle/Zoom (common platform for all classes- NC State will provide the platform, access, and any necessary technical training). Teachers will also help develop curriculum including vocabulary lists, simple dialogues, question and answer exercises, games and puzzles. Video/audio submissionsMinimum Experience/Education:
The successful candidate (s) will have licensure and/or a graduate degree in TESOL (or in a closely related field) with two or more years of EFL/ESL teaching experience. We will also consider TVET instructors who are bilingual English-Spanish who can help develop CLIL curriculum in one of the following fields: hospitality/tourism, software/computer, trade/sales or BPO/Call CentersDepartment Required Skills:
Must have substantial experience and expertise using basic educational technology tools (e.g., Zoom and an online learning management system such as Moodle, Blackboard, etc.)
Must demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal communication skills. Must be fluent or have near native fluency in English
Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with international students and professionals- and have a commitment to excellence in teaching and supervising instructors/teachers.
Cultural sensitivity and interest in working with diverse groups
- Spanish language ability/fluency is preferred, but not required
-ESL/EFL language instruction experience to English language learners (professionals, adults, or tertiary level Students) preferred.
Have experience with ESL/EFL curriculum development
Required License or Certification: TESOL Certification, ESL Teaching License, or equivalent certification is required, but may be waived with direct teaching experience to non-native English speakers (one to two year minimum)Valid NC Driver's License required?:
