Essential Job Duties: The Global Training Initiative (GTI) in the Office of Global Engagement at NC State University is accepting applications for the position of temporary, EFL Instructors. 16-18 week online course for secondary and post-secondary teachers in Colombia that focuses on beginning to mid-level EFL, vocabulary and pronunciation, technical/trades vocabulary, sentence patterning and simple dialogs.Is Time Limited:

TBD. We anticipate online classes will take place several days and times throughout the week. Classes may be scheduled days, evenings and/or weekends.Other Work/Responsibilities:
The EFL Academic Director will coordinate the development and implementation of this 16 week summer EFL course. She/he will manage all aspects of the course including curriculum development, assessment, and platform implementation (Moodle build-out, selection of tools and apps and other educational materials and resources. She or he will also have responsibility for the orientation, training, scheduling, and supervision of qualified EFL instructors who will provide the online instruction, review/correction of assignments and possible additions to the curriculum.Minimum Experience/Education:
The successful candidate (s) will have licensure and/or a graduate degree in TESOL (or in a closely related field) with five or more years of EFL/ESL teaching experience and three or more years of supervisory and teacher training experience in the ESL field (or directing a multi-instructor ESL/EFL program) especially with professionals or adults.Department Required Skills:
Must have substantial experience and expertise using basic educational technology tools (e.g., Zoom and an online learning management system such as Moodle, Blackboard, etc.)
Be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal communication skills. Must be fluent or have near native fluency in English
Must demonstrate enthusiasm for working with international students and professionals- and have a commitment to excellence in teaching and supervising instructors/teachers.
Cultural sensitivity and interest in working with diverse groups
- Spanish language ability/fluency is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with vocational-technical programs and terminology desired (compared to academic English)
