Position Summary:

This position provides administrative support to the Departments of Crop & Soil Sciences and Plant Pathology on the UGA Griffin Campus and reports directly to the Business Manager. This position supports around 15 faculty members and numerous staff for these two departments and gets daily direction from the Business Manager. Tasks include but are not limited to: answering phones and emails, mail distribution, entering purchase orders, assisting with travel and expense reimbursements, annual inventory, filing, and any other administrative tasks assigned by the Business Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Basic computer skills, ability to communicate effectively in person as well as electronically, knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administrative tasks for both Crop & Soil Science and Plant Pathology Departments including answering departmental telephone lines, mail distribution, work orders, key requests, UPS/fedex Shipments, room reservations, maintaining directories and listserves, and other duties as assigned.
