Provides operational analysis, planning, and coordination of a broad range of initiatives for the Department. Creates and analyzes customized monthly Department strategic focused metrics and communications. Independently prioritizes and schedules appointments for the Department Vice Chairs of Clinical, Anatomic and Academic Affairs. Establishes and maintains responsive administrative procedures and follows-up to ensure timely, correct completion of office projects. Responsible for making all Vice Chair’s travel arrangements. Assist the faculty members in arranging meetings, trouble-shooting issues, reimbursements and providing administrative support for staff engagements and events. Support the Histology & Tissue Bank recharge unit in providing administrative support including order processing data entry support for the processing of tissues samples for both internal and external customers. Compensation Range: $23.94 - $28.76 Department Website: http://www.pathology.uci.edu/ Required: 3-5 years with BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated ability to initiate improvements in operations based on independent analysis and problem-solving. Experience providing administrative support including scheduling calendars and meetings, coordinating travel, prioritizing mail, screening telephone calls, and general office management. Demonstrated ability to gather, evaluate, analyze and present data in response to information needs. Proven ability to manage and prioritize a workload with multiple deadlines, frequent interruptions, and changing priorities. Ability to anticipate problems and needs and take necessary action to eliminate or mitigate potential negative effects. Demonstrated experience in developing, writing and implementing operational procedures. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated skill to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated command of the written and spoken English language. Demonstrated skill to use Microsoft Access. Final candidate subject to background check.
