The post award team in the Finance unit is responsible for management of more than $29 million in contracts, grants and research funding. This centralized unit provides expertise and financial management for contracts, grants and university allocations for research. Under general direction, performs financial analysis and reporting and performs accounting transactions related to payroll, contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. Compensation Range: $24.23 - $36.93 Department Website: https://www.medicine.uci.edu/ Required: Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience/training.Demonstrated competence in the use of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports. Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization; communication skills; and a customer service focus. Ability to manage a high volume of transactions. Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles. Ability to perform moderately complex financial analysis and customized reporting. Preferred: Knowledge of grant funding processes, procedures and techniques. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines. Knowledge of UCPath and School of Medicine DSS Writing skills to draft persuasive text for variety of audiences. Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations in all areas of research administration. Final candidate subject to background check.
