Department Summary:

The Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation is responsible for leading the university in the areas of educational technology, online and blended initiatives, and digital learning research serving students and faculty both on-campus and at a distance. Digital Strategy and Innovation collaborates with faculty, staff, and students across UNT’s academic and administrative units to ensure a world-class, 21st century institution, redefining public higher education through cutting-edge experimentation where the science of learning is the fulcrum that enables innovative, omnichannel, lifelong education for the North Texas community and learners across the globe.
THIS POSITION SUPPORTS ONLINE EDUCATION

Position Overview:

The Marketing Coordinator will be a key member of the team who supports the promotion of the UNT Online brand and the work of the Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation. The
position will report to the AVP Digital Growth and work closely with the Senior Web Developer.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and two years of experience in communications, marketing, advertising, or public relations; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of market segmentation, principles of marketing, integrated marketing communications principles and branding.
• Proficiency in MS Office and requisite publishing, graphic design and media tools.
• Ability to think creatively, organize tasks, work independently and meet deadlines.
• Considerable knowledge of Associated Press style.
• Ability to visually inspect products in multiple formats and assess and improve.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise the work of others.
• Proficiency in MS Office and requisite publishing and graphic design software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Higher Education
Tableau and Data Studio Experience
Google Certification in Analytics and Marketing topics
Social Media Marketing Experience
Tableau and Data Studio Experience Google Certification in Analytics and Marketing topics Social Media Marketing Experience

Work Schedule:

Mon-Fri 8-5 with some flexibility

Maintain DSI And UNT Online social media accounts, including content support

o:

Monitor analytics and website traffic using Tableau or Data Studio and report DSI and UNT Online social media following

o:

Meet with academic partners regularly to discuss upcoming events, deadlines and potential content and draft/post accordingly

o:

Assist with Google Tag Management on UNT Online website

o:

Recommend digital marketing mix strategy

o:

Create and embed UTM code in links for social media posts for the purpose of tracking microsite activity
