Assistant Rowing Coach

Position Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Head Coach with the Varsity & Novice programs.
  • Assist with all aspects of on and off campus recruiting as recruiting coordinator
  • Assist in the organization of team training, practice sessions and competition
  • Assist in the planning of fund raising and alumni relations activities
  • Assist in planning of team travel
  • Assist with facility and equipment issues
  • Other duties as assigned by head coach

Required Degree

Bachelors

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree;
  • 5 years coaching experience at a highly competitive collegiate or private club level;
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with prospective student-athletes, student-athletes, staff and University personnel;
  • Candidate must display a commitment to responsibility for adhering to all the policies, rules and regulations of MSU, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA;
  • Computer skills necessary.
