Summary

The Tulane University School of Medicine Clinical Translational Unit has an immediate opening for a Clinical Research Project Manager I. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a Project Manager for a research study. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Project Manager I will independently manage and provide oversight for all aspects of clinical research study conduct at participating clinical sites conducting research and clinical trials. Under the guidance of the Director, this role independently manages and coordinates research network studies and trials at multiple clinical sites. Assists in the development of research projects, scientific study design, data interpretation, training of research site personnel, and maintains regulatory compliance, patient safety, and data quality. Monitors the conduct and progress of studies to ensure compliance with established protocols and study time lines. Licensed professionals will use medical knowledge and clinical experience broadly in multiple functions of this position, including but not limited to analyzing or evaluating clinical data, developing and implementing clinical work flows for studies/protocols, performing medical reviews, and training research nurses throughout the network. This position provides the opportunity to travel for network steering committee meetings.

This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of human subjects' clinical research experience to include project management or high school diploma/equivalent and nine years of human subjects' clinical research experience to include project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Credentialing as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other related certification is highly preferred, along with experience in the specific clinical research area
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and IRB procedures
  • Computer experience
  • Familiarity with critical care nursing, diagnoses and treatment
