Job Summary

Assist the faculty of the department in organizing and attending various recruitment activities throughout the year. Specifically, contact teachers at Atlanta-area schools to attend high school matinees and/or to send our recruitment tour to their schools. Must also organize sign in sheets and call backs from various on campus and off campus events and conferences. Must also attend on campus Preview Days and perhaps one or two off campus conferences (ThesCon, GTC). Must be able to take criticism, be enthusiastic about learning new skills., and must work as a collaborative team player. Must have a good attendance record for previous work experiences.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise noted/indicated by the hiring department.

Student Assistant I positions include standard, routine duties which require minimal prior training or experience. Most often, Student Assistant I positions work with other students and are frequently supervised.
