Advertised Job Summary:

The University of South Carolina School of Law is seeking adjunct professors to teach Reading Group courses during the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. Reading Groups are intended to facilitate an intellectually rich academic experience through informal, in-depth discussions between faculty and students. Each Reading Group will be convened to explore a legal topic or theme through the study of appropriate readings, films, and other materials. Reading Groups are intended to foster deeper conversations about legal issues than traditional classes permit, especially including conversations regarding sensitive or controversial legal issues between diverse groups of students. The applicant should have strong academic credentials and be able to demonstrate a high probability of success as a teacher and a willingness to contribute to the law school’s academic community.

Qualifications:

The applicant must have a J.D. and at least two years of teaching or practice experience.
