The Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time instructor position to start August 16, 2021. This is a 9-month non-tenure-earning renewable appointment of up to three years. Renewal is based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding. The position involves teaching four courses per semester and advising undergraduate students. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in psychology or related field; experience in teaching undergraduate psychology courses; and evidence of commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Preferred qualifications include PhD in psychology or related field; experience in teaching introduction to psychology, statistics, and a variety of courses; experience with undergraduate advising; and experience integrating principles of diversity/equity/inclusion into teaching activities.
