(Contingent upon available funding): 0.00 - 0.00, Commensurate Work Schedule: Typically 5 days/week, 8 hours/day Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: TheSimulation Specialist serves as a technical expert who is able to set up,operate, maintain, and troubleshoot medical simulation equipment and softwareassociated. The Simulation Specialist also instructs and assists simulationeducators/faculty and learners in the use of medical equipment and tasktrainers used in simulation. In addition, the specialist assists inoperation activities, such as staffing and maintenance scheduling, andinventory/purchasing functions. Specialist assists in the development, setup,delivery, and takedown of medical simulation education sessions. Special Instructions to Applicants Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Required:- HS Diploma and/or certificate of training in medicine,nursing, or allied health- At least two (2) years of experience as atechnician/technologist in a medical simulation center, hospital, or relatedmedical environmentDemonstrate ability to install, operate, maintain andtroubleshoot hospital and technical equipment and software used in a clinicaleducation environment; ability to communicate technical information tonon-technical audiences; ability to work independently and as a part of a team;ability to acquire new skills and learn new procedures; proficiency inMicrosoft Office suitePreferred: - ACLS instructor or ability to become an ACLS instructor
