Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

The Special Projects Lead is a communication professional with strong written, oral, visual and interpersonal communications skills, and a proactive approach to identifying communication needs. Responsible for marketing and communications of outreach materials from The Bread Lab. The position will work to promote a positive public image of The Bread Lab to a wide range of stakeholders. The Special Projects Lead coordinates the design, writing, editing and publishing of The Bread Lab’s printed and electronic communication including outreach materials, brochures, newsletters, eNews, website, social media, reports, etc. The position is responsible for planning, development, and implementation of tours, outreach events, and public relations activities, both external and internal. The position will assist in coordinating The Bread Lab’s marketing activities, outreach, and information dissemination locally and regionally.

Required Qualifications:

  • Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field and two (2) years of professional level writing/editing experience which has included word processing computer applications and a demonstrated knowledge of graphic arts principles. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to (1) one year of the required experience.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have, or able to obtain, a valid driver’s license by time of hire.
