Adjunct Positions — Fall 2021: LAB SCIENCES and MATHEMATICS

Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Lab Sciences and Mathematics. Start date for Fall 2021 is August 18. Contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment.

LAB SCIENCE

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Ph.D. or MA in a Science or a related field.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L.
  • Be firmly committed to high-quality laboratory instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in lab safety and hands-on science learning.
  • Have demonstrable, successful experience as a teacher at the college level (or demonstrable promise thereof).

MATHEMATICS

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Possess strong communication skills.

  • Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in mathematical pedagogies.
  • Have demonstrable, successful experience as a teacher at the college level (or demonstrable promise thereof).
