The Waubonsee Upward Bound program is seeking instructors to teach summer courses during a five-week summer program.

Subjects include: Mathematics (Algebra through Calculus),
Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
English (Literature and composition)
World Language

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

Completed at least 1 year of teaching at the high school or college level. Substitute teaching experience will be considered.

Demonstrated ability to meet diverse learning requirements of students and experience working with diverse student populations.

Special Instructions: This is a temporary summer position: June 7 - July 14, 2021. Upward Bound summer classes are held in-person Monday through Wednesday, Additional in person and remote shifts are available on Thursday and Friday. Instructors are scheduled to work 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. There are no classes on July 5, 2021. Classes are taught remotely on July 6 -8, 2021 . Mandatory dates: Staff Orientation tentatively scheduled on June 1 and 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Open House on July 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
