    Job Description Summary:

    Faculty members at Concordia University are excellent teacher-scholars who place an emphasis on both high quality student-centered teaching, while remaining engaged with the discipline's current research. In addition to teaching 24 units per academic year in the Department of Communication Studies, the successful candidate will support and enhance the department's "high-contact" approach to undergraduate education. We offer three emphases in the Communication Studies Major: Interpersonal & Organizational, Digital Media and Rhetoric & Public Address. We are especially interested in a future colleague that can support the department's current course offerings and offer leadership in the development of new course offerings, especially as they relate to transmedia, public relations, and/or organizational communication, and research methods..

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will:

      Hold an earned doctorate degree in Communication or a related field. Outstanding candidates in the final stages of dissertation writing (ABD) will be considered.Exhibit outstanding teaching skills and student engagement as evidenced by excellent teaching evaluations.Show a willingness to serve our students outside the traditional classroom through interdisciplinary conversation(s) and engagements (e.g., clubs, reading groups, conference mentorships, etc.).
