Job Description:

York Country Day School seeks a candidate who is highly motivated and effective in guiding upper school students through the FIRST Technical Challenge (FTC) competitive robotics program. This candidate will have the opportunity to develop the team's technical and non-technical skills and expand the team's outreach to the community. The FTC Head coach will recruit and collaborate other team mentors and work closely with the Director of Robotics and Engineering throughout the season and off-season. YCDS is an affiliate of York College of Pennsylvania and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools.

Requirements:

Candidates for this position should be champions for robotics education, and they should be passionate about mentoring students in the upper grades, 9-12. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a robotics related field. The candidate should also possess strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to connect the team to resources and experts in the field is a necessity. Experience with the FIRST Robotics program and/or in the fields of engineering and/or computer science is desired. Candidates must pass the FIRST background check in addition to the other required state and federal clearances.
