Job Summary:The 3-D Technician will assist the Art Faculty to make sure the Sculpture studios including the wood shop, metal shop, foundry, and forges are run in a safe and healthy manner.
Reports To:Rod Dugal, Fine Arts Area Coordinator
Education/Qualifications:•Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
•Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
•Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
General knowledge of the sculptural process, wood shop safety, and metal shop equipment a plus. Ability to safely handle tools and materials in a responsible manner a must.
Preferably an Art major with an interest in sculpture, wood or metal, but student can be trained.
•Comfortable working with a variety of art materials and different situations in a safe and healthy manner.
•Dirty, dusty, loud working environments.
•Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibility/Duty:•Under the supervision of the Sculpture Instructor, the student will;
•Assist in maintaining the Wood and Metals studios
•Monitor the safety in the Wood and Metals studios
•Help with general upkeep within these areas
