Trauma Program Support Specialist (coding emphasis)

Performs a variety of data compilation synthesis and extrapolation functions related to preparation of meaningful timely and accurate reports. Interacts with varying sizes and complexity of databases.
A background in coding/billing is preferred.
- Performs data support functions.
- Extracts data for reports.
- Under general supervision provides front line support for a user system.
- Provides support to work area operations.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Education: High School or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience required (data analysis, extraction, and systems interface with healthcare data).
Licensure: None required.
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
