Position Description:
Under the general guidance of the Director of the Business Creation Option (BCO) program, the Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Operations is responsible for the Event management and overseeing of day-to-day activities for all three programs. The Business Creation Option (BCO) is a two-quarter, 10-unit course that provides a unique educational experience for FTMBA, FEMBA and EMBA students interested in launching their own business. Responsibilities include tracking progress for 230 students comprised of FTMBA, FEMBA and EMBA; providing senior-level administrative support to the BCO staff, MBA program liaisons and 16 faculty advisors.

The BCO Program allows teams of FTMBA, FEMBA and EMBA students to work on their business idea and develop a comprehensive strategy for launching that business. The course is a required component of their MBA program curriculum and enrolls approximately 230 students across 3 MBA programs across 4 cohorts annually. The Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Operations is responsible for creating and coordinating the program schedule for each student cohort, communicating program requirements, tracking teams' progress, and following up with students to ensure academic deadlines are met. They will create and analyze evaluation reports and recommend program improvements based on findings and feedback. This position will develop, write, and edit content for the internal and external websites. The Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Operations will oversee all general office operations including database maintenance (i.e. Salesforce), course website maintenance, recruitment of panelists, workshop mentors and improvement of technology.

The Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Operations serves as liaison among class and program managers for FTMBA, FEMBA and EMBA faculty advisors, UCLA Anderson partners, teaching assistants, and students. This person will work with the Director of Team Coaching to provide support for student teams, and schedule advising and coaching sessions as needed. They will work with the Director of Communications for Management Field Studies to provide support for student teams, including scheduling of midpoint communication sessions and dry-run sessions. The position will plan and execute events including the kickoffs, project launches, and year-end awards program.

The Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Operations is responsible for engaging with students to address their needs, counsel them on strategies for success, monitoring teams' progress, and determining student needs based on program performance. Designs, analyzes, and builds reports for BCO evaluations (Bi-Weekly Pulse Checks, Midpoint Program Evaluations, Final Program Evaluations) and recommends program improvements based on findings and feedback.

The Sr. Program Manager of Strategy and Operations is also involved in program marketing and recruitment of panelist, including mentor program development and networking to build relationships on behalf of the BCO Program. Building a pipeline of potential resources, mentors, VC, and workshops, the Program Manager works with the Faculty Director and Program Director to develop the partnership pipeline and secure resources offered in the BCO Program each year.

Supports events including the kickoff, project launch, and year-end awards program.
