Position Highlights:

This position is located at the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension office in Phoenix, Arizona. The incumbent will manage the front desk and be the main point of contact for visitors and callers. Professionalism and a good attitude are key abilities in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate program staff
  • Greet incoming people and have visitors, clients, and volunteers sign in for documentation
  • May interact with visitors and clients who only speak Spanish
  • Assist with managing Keycard activations
  • Maintain conference room calendars in Outlook
  • Maintain video display in lobby
  • Open, sort, date stamp and distribute incoming mail
  • Receive and receipt cash and check transactions
  • Order office supplies
  • Create and format County Extension Director's quarterly newsletters
  • Assist department programs with clerical tasks as needed
  • Demonstrates ability to work well with people and be a team player
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to learn new software programs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience
  • Prior work experience not required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish to assist clients who speak Spanish only
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
