Job Summary
The Director of the Montessori Academy will be responsible for the leadership and operations of the Montessori Academy at the Early Learning Center. The position will report directly to the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and will work closely with the Director of the Early Learning Center to ensure compliance with Early Learning Center policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Program Management - 45

This position will oversee the daily operations of the program, to include, but not limited to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the program; proper staffing models for Montessori programming, licensing standards are met and documented in every childcare rooms; website coordination, and parent/guardian correspondence. Provide curricular oversight and ensure the availability of instructional materials for teacher and student use.

Financial Management - 25
Responsible for financial oversight of the programs operations, to include: generating tuition invoices (weekly/monthly), processing payments, ordering supplies, etc. Monitor and reconcile revenue and expenditures to ensure coherence to Montessori Academy business plan.

Leadership/Supervision - 25
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff to fulfill their duty to teach children using Montessori methods. Supervision includes: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, scheduling and terminations. Facilitate staff trainings to ensure that all state requirements and Montessori training requirements are met. Provide strategic and forward thinking leadership to provide the highest quality in early learning.

Contributes to the overall success of the Montessori Academy by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in an education field or business-related field

Required Experience
At least two years of related experience

Pass a background check


Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
PeopleSoft Human Capital and Financials systems platform experience

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Masters Degree in education or business.
First Aid, CPR, and certified childcare professional and/or Montessori Certification

Preferred Experience
Related experience in jobs primary purpose; extensive administration experience and program management in an educational environment

Knowledge of child development, Montessori and Montessori method, childcare and institutional policies and procedures.
Fee collection management, budget development, maintenance, reporting and reconciliation, business process mapping, materials management and procurement.

SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to modeling excellence in the performance of work duties, and skill in holding employees accountable for meeting established standards of performance.
Responsible and principled decision-making
Problem solving approaches problems with a solution-oriented stance and informed by data/experience
Experience/ability to learn and become proficient in Peoplesoft Financials, Procare, and Tuition Express.
