Briar Cliff University, an institution committed to higher education within liberal arts and Catholic perspective, invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor in Biology to start in the fall of 2021. Candidates will have earned (or nearly completed) a Ph.D. in anatomy, physiology, or a closely related field. The duties include a 24-hour teaching load in addition to advising Biology majors and service to the University. Anticipated teaching responsibilities include Anatomy and Physiology I and II introductory biology courses for majors and nonmajors, pathophysiology, and one or more courses in the candidate's area of expertise. The ability and willingness to direct student-driven research are desired. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a commitment to high-impact teaching practices in a Catholic and Franciscan University.
