Merced College is a midsized community college located in California's Central Valley.     General Description:
    Under the supervision of the director, prepares meals and maintains food inventory for infants; maintains the health and safety needs of the children; and maintains an optimal healthy environment in the Infant Center.

    Examples of Duties
    Essential Functions:

  • Cleans assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning tables, chairs and highchairs, children's bathrooms
  • Disinfects children's play surfaces, toys, cribs and nap mats
  • Dusts
  • Launders
  • Sterilizes bottles, wash dishes
  • Delivers food and sets up tables for meals
  • Prepares infant food and formula according to CCFP guidelines
  • Maintains basic records of infant and toddler meals
  • Maintains food inventory for infants
  • Empties waste receptacles and diaper pails
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service training
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

    Interview Information:
    Those applicants deemed highly qualified for the position will be invited to appear for oral interviews before a screening committee. A limited number of candidates will be invited to interviews. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the first interview will be scheduled via Zoom. The second/final interview may be scheduled onsite. Applicants are required to ensure access to the necessary technology to participate in a Zoom interview.

    Employee Benefits:

    Condition of Employment:
    The selected candidate must be fingerprinted and tested for tuberculosis at his/her own expense prior to the start of employment.
