The School of Education is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Director of Field Placement & Certification and Associate Dean of Accreditation & Technology. In this dual-purpose role, this position’s main purpose is to serve as a conduit between the accreditation office and the field placement and certification office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Office of Accreditation & Technology

  1. Assist Associate Dean for Accreditation & Technology with data analysis for accreditation and state reports using Tk20 by Watermark data management system for SOE graduate and undergraduate students.
  2. Serve as the coordinator/trainer/mentor for faculty and field supervisors to implement Tk20 by Watermark data management system.
  3. Organize and maintain filing system for all SPAs, Title II, and accreditation reports, both on computer in Tk20 by Watermark and in office files.
  4. Assist in the organization of data for NY State and Title II reports
  5. Collect and format assessment data from rubrics maintained in Tk20 by Watermark and in-house platforms.
  6. Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned in the School of Education.

Office of Field Placement and Certification

  1. Assist with the execution of all communication and correspondence relating to the Office of Field Placement and Certification, including information to cooperating teachers, principals, field supervisors, student teachers, etc.
  2. Plan and coordinate meetings, events and workshops with the Director of Field Placement and Certification. Secure rooms, notify attendees and organize needed materials.  Prepare and distribute minutes as needed.
  3. Assist the Director of Field Placement and Certification with all matters related to edTPA and NYSED’s testing requirements.
  4. Maintain calendar, answer/respond to phone calls, print transcripts and coordinate all additions, withdrawals and changes to student seminar lists for the Director of Field Placement and Certification.
  5. Track budget information. Receive invoices/bills and complete check requisitions for payment.
  6. Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned in the School of Education.

Qualifications:

•          Bachelor’s Degree preferred

•          Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

(customer service background a plus)

•          Experience working in higher education

•          Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented

•          Professional, reliable and dependable

•          Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Video Conference

software(s). Knowledge of Tk20 by Watermark software a plus
