Job Details
The Marsico Institute is accepting applications for Early Childhood Instructional Curriculum Coaches who will work as part of a team for an efficacy research study implementing and evaluating both a preschool interdisciplinary curriculum and an early math intervention under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigators. Coaches will support fidelity of implementation of the interdisciplinary pre-K Connect4Learning (C4L) curriculum, which aims to synthesize research-based approaches in four domains of learning: science, mathematics, literacy, and social-emotional development. Coaches will also support preschool and kindergarten teachers in the incorporation of critical mathematical knowledge and practices of the Learning and Teaching with Learning Trajectories ([LT]2) website. Teachers will receive professional development from the Principal Investigators on the C4L curriculum and how to incorporate [LT]2, which is a tool that grounds teachers in how children learn mathematics, literacy, and social-emotional development.
Coaches are expected to: master curricular content; work collaboratively with curriculum development, training, and teaching teams; model implementation of the curriculum/intervention and [LT]2 knowledge and practices; support the teachers fidelity of implementation of curriculum/intervention activities and practices; and support the teachers development and facility with integrating these enhanced instructional techniques.
These are temporary, non-benefited, grant-funded positions to begin work on or after August 1, 2021. Coaches must be available to travel and provide in-person coaching and support services to teachers at multiple school sites between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at least 4 days a week. The interdisciplinary C4L curriculum project will take place in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the [LT]2 math project will take place in Boulder, Colorado. Applicants may indicate their preferred project in their application letter; final placement will be determined based on the applicant's background, skills, and ability to travel to each location as needed.
These are non-benefited positions not to exceed 1,000 hours each in a calendar year.

Part-Time, varies. Evenings and weekends as required. Depending on the project. regular local travel in Colorado Springs or Boulder and the surrounding areas, and occasional travel to Denver is required.

Hourly Range
The hourly range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00.
