Position Highlights:

A Research Technician position in the lab of Dr. Haining Zhu with a start date of July 1, 2021. the candidate is expected to carry out research projects in neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The projects used protein biochemistry, cell biology and microscopic analysis, mammalian cell culture, and rodent models to study RNA metabolism.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, plans, designs, conducts, and evaluates research.
  • Contributes to ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in general lab organization and ordering supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required OR Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required in addition to education requirement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required OR Associates' Degree (Biochemistry and Cell Biology) or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Bachelor's Degree Biochemistry and Cell Biology or related field is preferred. *Working experience with rodent models is a plus.
