Admissions Advisor - Adult Outreach

TheAdult Admissions Advisor is a support position responsible to the Admissions Manager.The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct outreach and followup on adult prospective student inquiries. This position requires a significant amount ofphone work and travel in the community. This position works closely withStrategic Development to implement effective outreach strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide first phone outreach to prospective student inquiries received via e-mail, web forms, contact cards, etc. within one (1) business day of receiving the inquiry.

Conduct regular follow up calls to students as they move through the steps to getting started.

Conduct re-engagement calls for students who have not yet enrolled.

Identify outreach opportunities to best recruit adult prospective students.

Create and implement programming including presentations and events specifically targeting adult prospective students.

Collaborate with internal departments and external referral agencies that lend themselves to best serving adult prospective student populations (Adult Education, Workforce Education, Workforce and Solutions Council, Illinois workNet, etc…)

Maintain regular communication with designated prospects as determined by the CRM.

Enter outreach notes and student information into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Assist with maintaining open task lists related to prospective students in the CRM.

Assist with re-assignment of prospects as they move through the enrollment funnel.

Provide walk-in new student advising coverage.

Maintain general knowledge of college activities, programs and requirements with the ability to refer inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

Assist with the planning and implementation of recruitment events as needed.

Assist with the department’s direct mail and tele-counseling activities as needed.

Serve as a representative of the college at community and district high school events as needed.

Assist with the Gustafson Scholarship program activities as needed.

Assist with administrative office tasks as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

Minimum two years related experience in the education field, including work with minority and/or adult populations.

Excellent communication, organizational and human relations skills.

Outstanding phone and e-mail etiquette.

Familiarity with CRM systems, data entry for updating student records and other student service/computer software.

Valid Illinois driver’s license required.

Spanish/English bilingual ability is desirable, but not required.

Ability to work one evening per week and occasional weekends as required.
