Mon – Fri, variable start/finish times but typically range from 0700 – 1600hrs, occasional overtime required, with potential holiday and weekend work.Job Summary:
Employee will be working on UK Research Farms in Lexington and the surrounding area. Reporting location and type of work will vary as dictated by labor demands. Work with Farm crews to include general farm and facilities maintenance such as: mowing, hand trimming, landscape maintenance, planting trees, tree/tree limb removal/cleanup, any/all other duties and task related to facilities and farm maintenance not specifically described above. Work will also include crop harvesting (hay, tobacco, etc) as required. Work with Ag construction services tradesmen performing duties and tasks related to building repairs/maintenance/construction projects, and other duties as assigned to maintain and improve aesthetics of the facilities.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Safety oriented mindset, attention to detail, self motivated with the ability to listen, understand, and a desire to learn. General farm and construction skillsets are preferred. Responsibility rises with demonstrated aptitude. Position will be exposed to multiple learning opportunities and skill building tasks in Trades work and farm operations.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
