Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the IT Customer Services Endpoint Manager, this position is primarily responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and initiating of audio-visual oriented projects within an academic and staff environment. Position will perform site-planning, technology research/prototyping and logistics support of installed and future audio-visual design systems. Work will include preparing concise plans prepared for technology implementation in developing Statements of Work for projects and ensure state guidelines are followed. This position will work with the Endpoint Services Imaging unit and SCCM to ensure end user systems are properly setup for Audio-Visual implementations by providing consultation, configuration design, recommendations and implementations; providing computing solutions to end users problems of a basic to moderate nature to ensure end user productivity; and developing written procedures and recommendations to management. This position is also responsible for providing audio-visual support of installed devices along with assisting the Training Coordinator in the development Self Support documentation for end users. Providing hardware/software support within an academic computing environment as well as providing installation, configuration and troubleshooting support as needed. In addition, this position will work with the Customer Service Parts Inventory system in maintaining an adequate supply of repair parts. Consistent reviewing of account action forms to determine if action is required by Customer Service department. This position will work with vendors and the college’s procurement department, during the acquisition of equipment and materials in support of planned projects, to ensure state guidelines for procurement are adhered to.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma and five (5) years’ experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. A degree in a related field may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous work experience with project planning and development support within an audio-visual environment is desired. Ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of experience creating and supporting audio-visual initiatives within an academic client environment. The preferred candidate must have experience in planning initiating, troubleshooting, resolving, and repairing hardware and software related issues in an IT academic computing environment and knowledge of networking. Candidate should display self-direction, leadership, cooperation, and initiative. Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently while multi-tasking in a high stress environment is essential. The ability to communicate with users effectively and independently, both verbally and in clear, concise written technical reports is critical for this position.
