Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:

Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied oboe and academic classes in an area of expertise such as music theory/sight-singing/ear-training (preferred) or music history, actively recruit and maintain a studio of oboe majors, and perform with faculty chamber groups.

Educational Requirements for the Position:

DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) is required.

Experience Required for the Position:

All applicants will be reviewed, but particular interest will be given to those with a successful record of university level teaching.

Other Requirements for the Position:

All applicants will be considered, but preference will be given to those with a successful record of teaching oboe at the university level. University teaching experience in the secondary area is highly desirable.
