Department Summary:

UNT Physics offers BS/BA, MS, and Ph.D. degrees. It also offers a BS/MS accelerated program for students to obtain both BS and MS degrees in 5 years. In addition to general physics, its undergraduate program offers Engineering Physics, Computational Anticipated Courses: Physics, and Astronomy concentrations.

Position Summary:

The Department of Physics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for Fall 2021, Spring 2022, and Summer 2022 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses to develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

Work assignments could include undergraduate classes for non-science major core requirements such as Non-calculus based Conceptual Physics, Astronomy, and Musical Sound, and possibly calculus-based courses such as Mechanics, General Physics I; for Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, and Science Majors.

Work Assignment: The department offers courses at the main UNT campus, located in Denton, Texas, or at UNT New College in Frisco, Texas; you may be assigned at either location, depending on need.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters in physics or closely related field.
Experience teaching college-level physics.
Experience with online learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching large lecture courses.
Experience supervising Teaching Assistants.
