Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Murray State University is seeking an Instructor for the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Architecture program. This degree has two tracks: construction management and architectural design. This position is the primary faculty for the construction management track.

Responsibilities include teaching classes in construction planning and management, construction documents, anatomy of a building, construction scheduling, cost estimating, and other courses related to construction management. This faculty will be expected to develop and maintain construction laboratories and laboratory equipment. Serving as the faculty advisor for a very active AGC Student Organization will be required along with helping to develop professional industry partners for job and internship placement. Development and participation in student recruiting and retention activities will be required.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Master of Science degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Building Science, or a related field is required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

Experience working in the U.S. construction industry is required.

Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Experience with Procore software, Microsoft Project, and teaching experience is preferred.
