Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant III reports to the Dean of Library Services. The Administrative Assistant III provides complex support services for the Library. Initiate requisitions and reconcile purchase orders. Create and maintain encumbrance and expenditure reports. Process all employee event records. Track supplies and inventory. Collect and produce database usage reports. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of work experience in a library or similar setting.
Computer and a calculator skills required.
Prior experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor.
Understand and perform complex oral and written instructions with little or no supervision.
Work in occasional stressful situations. Perform detailed work rapidly and accurately. Advanced communication skills, both written and spoken.
Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
Promote a positive campus image.
Plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
Comply with college policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited two-year college or university with major course work in related area is preferred.
Experience and training may be substituted for education.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, kneel, bend, and twist upper body. The employee must regularly carry and lift up to 10 pounds, and move up to 15 pounds. Must be able to operate a personal computer and other office equipment.

SALARY :

$32,000 to $36,000; Depending upon work experience and education.

Work Hours:

40 hrs a week Monday - Friday with a variable work schedule.
