Job Description:

The selected candidate(s) will perform histology including tissue cutting and mounting; microscopy; immunohistochemistry; data analyses; assisting with care of laboratory animals; ordering of laboratory supplies.

The work will be conducted in a busy research laboratory, working alongside graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The ability to work well in a team setting is essential. The position will involve working with laboratory mice and/or rats, in studies of brain and spinal cord neuroplasticity and rehabilitation.

Expected Salary:

$15.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with histology and routine laboratory work is preferred, but not required. We will provide training to enthusiastic and motivated individuals. Students taking a “gap year” between undergraduate work and professional school are encouraged to apply.

Ability to work well in a team research setting.
