The division of Neurology offers a variety of services, including MRI, in a relaxed, comfortable setting with 24,000 square feet of office, consultation and treatment areas. Because neurological conditions affect every part of the body, it is important to have special tests to diagnose them. Our imaging center staff members have many years of experience providing excellent patient care. The imaging equipment uses a large, shore bore device, which reduces claustrophobia.Job Duties :
The candidate of choice will handle high volumes of phone calls and be able to communicate effectively with patients and other members of the medical community. The ideal candidate will use computer skills to enter data into the electronic medical record. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate with patients, patient families, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities of this position include answering and handling all incoming calls or transferring calls to the appropriate persons, scheduling appointments (new, return, hospital follow up and procedures), updating patient demographics, verifying authorization necessity and/or obtaining, and assist in rescheduling appointments with schedule changes. Currently, hours of clinic operations are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.Minimum Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.License or Certification required by statute or regulation:
