It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region.Job Duties :
This position is located in a clinical site and is involved in the following functions:
Verification of Health Insurance
Collection of patient accounts
Out Patient Charge Entry
Managed Care Authorizations
Outreach Clinic Duties
Cross Training within all clinical locations

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.Minimum Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Associate Degree in Medical Office Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare management Technology, or other related degree from an accredited two year program with one year of medical front desk/clinical patient access services experience.License or Certification Required by the Department:
