Deane School of Law at Hofstra University seeks applications for the position of Assistant Director of Digital Communications. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Communications, the Assistant Director of Digital Communications writes and edits content for the Law School’s digital marketing efforts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Edits content for the Law School’s digital marketing efforts, including social media posts, webpages, electronic newsletters, email campaigns, etc.
•Actively manages and drives Hofstra Law’s primary institutional social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.
•Assists in the overall operations of the Office of Communications as assigned.

This is an onsite position; work for this role is performed on campus.
The usual schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. This position is currently working 4 days on alternating weeks.
This position may require some evening and weekend hours in support of special events and projects.
Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, communications, or other relevant fields.
•3-5 years’ experience in communications, public relations or journalism. Experience in higher education preferred.
•Ability to use analytics, benchmarking and research of social media and higher education trends to better understand performance and inform decision-making, especially for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
•Proven experience working with website CMS (Drupal), blog platforms (Wordpress), social media dashboards (Hootsuite), as well as email distribution systems (iContact/Constant Contact/Mailchimp).
•Smart visual sense and understanding of how imagery drives engagement.
•Excellent writing and editing skills.
•Demonstrated ability to write compelling messages for multiple communications channels.
•Ability to work on several projects at once, and meet tight deadlines.
•Strong collaborative and cross-functional skills.
•A self-starter with an outgoing and results-oriented personality.
•Video shooting and editing preferred.
•Proficiency working with Photoshop, InDesign and design software preferred.
•Experience working with CRM software preferred.
