Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: Plan, organize, and direct programs of business development and public and donor relations for the college, as well as recruitment of students for all for-credit and non-credit college programs. Responsibilities of position will involve travel to include driving a state vehicle. Directs College scholarship program.
Additional Department Summary: The Director of College Relations works with the Dean's Office, and all divisions of the college in the planning, organizing, and implementation of strategic initiatives targeted to build relationships and generate revenue for all college programs. The position plans, organizes, and directs public relations events/ functions of the college. Working with the Division of Strategic Communication, the position oversees all-CCS non-credit marketing initiatives as well as special marketing projects as assigned by the dean. The position is charged with generating scholarship funds, oversight of the board of visitors, and developing new business partnerships.
Required Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of a bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of professional experience in business development, fund-raising, sales, public relations, or related field.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: This position requires an ability to communicate effectively with the various constituencies of the College and attract support for the College of Continuing Studies programs. Must constantly interact with constituents of the College and the general public. Involves a high degree of analytical thinking, creativity, and strategic planning. Good public relations, communications, and relationship-building skills. Ability to use personal computer for word processing and to use other standard software packages.
