Work Schedule:

8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required in conjunction with athletics events & schedules.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Develop, maintain, and operate technologies used within a Division 1 athletic program. Assist with the daily technical needs of the department. Work in conjunction with the director to supervise and develop student and contracted event staff.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Duties:

Assist director with the oversight of the technical operations of the athletic department. Including audio-visual systems, scoreboards, videoboards, and broadcast technology.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs to equipment in athletic venues during live events.
Act as productor or engineer in charge during major athletic events and produced shows.
Provide budget information to Director of Athletic Technical Operations in regards to equipment repair and replacement
Research and recommend potential departmental and technology improvements to the director.
Act as a liaison between external groups (TV/Video Production Contractors, Road Managers, and other groups) and the athletic department during live events.
Serve as a resource person in conjunction with the director to advise others concerning technical needs for meetings, sporting events, and external events within the athletic department.
