Work Schedule:

8:00 am – 1:00 pm; Monday – Friday with a flexible work schedule negotiable.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Support the Charlotte 49ers Athletic Academic Center in assisting all Charlotte varsity student athletes to achieve academic and personal success at the university by providing support services designed to meet their unique needs and insuring student athlete compliance with all National Collegiate Athletic Association, Conference and university regulations.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and two years of office/clerical work experience; or an equivalent combination of training/experience.

Essential Job Duties:

Coordinate the textbook program including the purchasing and distribution of textbooks each semester.
Recruit, train, hire, and supervise student employees.
Assist with producing and distribution of “travel letters” each semester for student-athletes.
Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
Assistance with the study hall program.
Monitor unit equipment, especially computers and printers in two computer labs.
Act with integrity in regards to all university and NCAA rules and regulations
Communicate effectively orally and by email

Other Work Responsibilities:

Assist professional advising staff in various projects.
Assist Director with various reports and projects.
Attend trainings and meetings for both the Office of Undergraduate Education and the Athletics Department.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Baccalaureate degree or five to seven years of administrative experience in a University setting;
Two to three years experience working in university setting that is student-facing;
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Email/Calendar; and
Preference given to candidates with Banner experience.
