The University of Virginia is a highly competitive Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence. The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Video Coordinator to support the Football program.

The Assistant Video Coordinator position will support the Football staff and student athletes in all aspects of video technology through a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: the coordination of coaching videos; video storage and database management; videotaping all games and practices; support and expertise in basic computer networking and troubleshooting and other administrative support as part of the Football support team.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $35,000 - $42,000 dependent upon qualifications.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (4+ years'), related experience in non-linear editing and professional videography.

Experience: Some related experience in non-linear editing and professional videography.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to manage and organize a student staff of up to 12 for daily practice and game recording. Knowledge of the most current technology as it relates to video and data analysis for team sports. Basic trouble shooting skills for both remote and ENG camera systems as well as computer networking and desktop/laptop/server maintenance. Intermediate knowledge and the ability to operate Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and/or other editing/compositing software. Must possess project management skills, with the ability to build and work in teams. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends.

Computer Applications: Some knowledge of computers and software: Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 2+ years’ experience with non-linear editing and professional videography is preferred. Prior visual media experience with college, professional or local television sports team coverage is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations.

Computer Applications: Advanced knowledge of computers and software: Microsoft Office; Adobe Product Suite including Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and/or other compositing software preferred.
