The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology beginning August 2021 and ending June 2022. The successful applicant must have completed or be in the final stages of completing a PhD in Sociology. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching complements the specialties of the department. Strong preference will be given to candidates whose work utilizes qualitative approaches.
The successful candidate will teach six courses (three per semester), including Introduction to Sociology and courses at the 200- and 300-level in the candidate’s area(s) of specialization. We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching, research, and service will contribute to the Department’s commitment to diversity and academic excellence.
