Eckerd College invites applications for the position of Director of Global Education. The successful candidate, who is expected to join the College in July 2021, will be responsible for ensuring the educational value and ethical standards of Eckerd’s global study programs, while encouraging student participation and excitement. This position provides vision, collaboration, and support for faculty leading study abroad courses and programs as well as for students preparing for or returning from study abroad. The Director of Global Education collaborates with the faculty International Education Committee as well as with faculty members across the curriculum to build on the College’s success in global education by developing new programs and instituting best practices in study abroad.

Eckerd College has been recognized for excellence in the area of study abroad, in particular for its Winter Term study abroad offerings. IIE/Open Doors ranked Eckerd College 5th in terms of percentage of students at baccalaureate colleges who student abroad and 2nd for short-term study abroad programs. Students can choose from over 300 destinations each year in a wide variety of academic areas.

The only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, Eckerd College has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence.
