    The Department of WorldLanguages and Cultures at The University of Toledo invites applications for aVisiting Assistant Professor position in Japanese beginning August 23, 2021.The area of specialization is open, but primary responsibilities will focus onlanguage teaching at the advanced level, in addition to developing courses inJapanese culture in English.

    Qualifications:

    Preference will be givento candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant field at time ofemployment and to applicants who are proficient in both Japanese and English, havedemonstrated teaching excellence, have familiarity with current languagepedagogy as well as experiences of using technology in classroom teaching. 


    Preferred qualificationsinclude experience mentoring underrepresented minority students.
