  • Position Description

    The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at TheUniversity of Toledo invites applications for two (2) one-yearvisiting assistant professor positions.  These positions, which are subject to budgetary approval, will startAugust 2021 and may be renewed for up to three (3) years. A Ph.D. degree inchemistry or a related discipline is preferred.  Applicants from all areas of chemistry will be considered.  The successful candidates will be expected tobe committed to excellence in teaching and student success at the undergraduatelevel. Opportunities for research collaboration with the current faculty arealso possible for further professional development. 

    The visiting assistant professor will be responsible for teaching foundational courses in the undergraduate curriculum at the 1000 and 2000 level in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.



      Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related discipline
    Communication and other skills:

      Ability to generate enthusiasm and engage students in classroom environmentKnowledge of modern computer use
